Everyone would agree that finances are tight and times are tough these days. You would also agree that spending a lot of money on home maintenance or improvements is a little unwise, especially something as extreme as a solar energy panel. But now is really the very best time to consider it. Solar energy can save you money, and possibly generate some as well, and it can provide you with tax deductions and increase the value of your home.

There are multiple ways to make solar powered energy at home. You could hire a construction crew or a team of engineers, but the best and most cost-efficient way is to build a solar panel yourself. You can make them with some fairly simple instructions and parts from almost any hardware store. As soon as you install them, you will begin to make solar powered energy for your home.

It has taken decades of development to make the modern-day solar panels affordable for everyday use. For some time, only people with a lot of money and a serious dedication to the environment would ever choose to power their homes with solar energy, but now everyone can do it.

For years people have thought that solar panel are only for the rich or super environmentally conscious. But after decades of tweaking and development, solar panels are now affordable for everyone. They are relatively inexpensive to build and install and they will instantly see savings on your monthly electricity bills. If the panels generate more power than your home can use in a day, it will go back into the power grid and you will receive a check from the electric company.

Finally, whether you consider yourself “green” or no, when you make solar powered energy to run your home, you are doing something good for our environment. You are cutting down on waster and you are depending on energy from the sun which is clean and renewable. That seems like a wise decision!

The concept of geothermal energy dates back to the time when Romans were able to successfully harness the earth’s natural energy for heating their baths. Historical records are awash with evidences proving that early civilizations have used the heat that emanates from the earth to cook or heat their food. Today, geothermal energy offers a practical option in cooling and heating our homes. This is not just an alternative energy source that is easy on the pocket but also friendly to the environment.

Modern geothermal systems which are sometimes referred to as ground-source heat pumps rely on the natural heat of the earth in heating or cooling the building or home interior. The first generation of heat pump systems of this type went into operation during the 1940s. The main drawback of this early generation of geothermal systems is their steep price. It also required a large land area for its installation. This is the main reason why it was never considered as a viable option for commercial use.

With the rising cost of fossil-based fuels, renewable and non-conventional sources of energy are becoming viable alternatives. Major players and stakeholders in the energy and power generation sector are now looking for ways in fine-tuning geothermal technology. There are now advanced applications that can be used in delivering and harnessing geothermal energy in a more efficient and cost-effective manner. Modern heat pumps can now be easily set up. With these developments and enhancements in the system, you can now consider this system as a viable alternative not only for commercial use but also for home use.

Staunch advocates of clean energy rank geothermal energy high in their list of alternative energy sources. If you use geothermal energy, you help reduce the amount of toxic emission in our atmosphere. Geothermal system is also a healthy and safe cooling and heating option for your home since it does not rely on external source of air. This means that the air inside your home is kept clean and free of pollutants, pollens and harmful elements. This is the main reason why geothermal energy was dubbed as the most environmentally-sensitive and energy efficient air conditioning system.

Another advantage of ground source types of heat pump systems is that they are 50 to 70% more efficient than other types of heating systems. They are also 20 to 40% more efficient than other air conditioning systems. On both aspects, geothermal based heating system is the more practical option.

The use of geothermal energy easily translates to 60% savings in energy cost. Provincial power utilities are strongly recommending for homeowners to switch to this alternative energy source. For instance, Manitoba Hydro has launched their own support program to encourage homeowners to set up their own geothermal systems. The program offers homeowners with loans up to a maximum amount of $15,000 to support the installation of geothermal systems in homes.

Based on current power rates, homeowners will be able to recover their initial investment in setting up their own ground source heating system in about 8 to 10 years. On the other hand, if the heating system will be financed under the Manitoba Loan program, total investment can be recovered in 15 years. In fact, there will be instances where the amount you will save in terms of reduced energy cost will be enough to pay for the loan.

Considering the advantages that ground source heating systems offer to homeowners, it is just but logical and practical for you to seriously consider one for your home. If we take into account other intangibles, then there is no question that going geothermal is not just an alternative but the standard in the way we are going to power up our homes.

Sunlight is very important. It is one major factor in the proper growth of plants for our food. It dries our clothes and warms our bodies, and of course, it gives us light. It is also our source of energy. Solar energy does all of these, which makes it very important in our lives, without the sun, it would be hard for us to live. The sun, by far, gives us life. It is one of the essentials for living. Electricity is a very imperative these days because without it our lives would be dull. Electricity makes our lives easy in a way that it heightens the capacity of people to do their jobs quickly and efficiently. But, the problem is, electricity is very expensive especially in the third world countries. Normally, people pay electricity bills monthly. This energy is coming from underground oils. There will be time that these oils will be gone. That is why solar energy was invented to allow people to save electricity and to reduce the effects of global warming. It is advisable to install home solar panel kits in your homes now.

As we all know, the sun is a very powerful source of energy. Solar panels get energy from sun’s UV rays. That makes it very important for us people to install Solar Panel Building at home. This type of energy doesn’t only reduce the cost of electricity bills, but we are also helping the reduction of the devastating effects of global warming from completely occurring. Another source of energy is also oil. Oil is an important factor in energy production because it can produce heat. The process of turning oil into electricity involves the heating of oil. After heating, the oil will be used to boil water so that it can produce steam and make the steam ready for its conversion into electric power. When we have solar energy in our homes we can stop depending on countries that are rich in petroleum products like Saudi Arabia or other countries in the Middle East.

Solar energy is environmental friendly. Solar energy processes heat from sunlight and is converted into electricity. It is a great thing to have solar energy kits at home. This is a better form of electricity because it is renewable. Using energy from the sun doesn’t hurt the environment because it has unlimited supply compared other forms of electric power. The best thing about solar energy is that it gives us energy and at the same time maintains the balance in nature. It freshens the air we breathe making it clean and healthy for all of us. Another benefit in solar energy is that it lets us do our work and lob without wasting too much money on electricity.

Installing a solar panel system at Home or home solar panel kits are much cheaper than you may think, but the benefits that it gives you are very satisfactory and advantageous.

You must take action today! Your wasting your money paying your electricity bill every month! See reviews on the best “building solar panel” guides at Building Solar Panels

As you learn how to build a solar panel system for your home, you may realize how much savings you can accumulate simply by not paying electricity bills. However an obstacle stands in the way that deters people from taking action. They wonder if it’s really possible to do it.

If you are serious about harnessing solar energy from the sun to generate electricity for your home, you can get a simple instructional guide to help you along. If you have visited bookstores and libraries, or even spent time looking through scores of information online, you will be hard-pressed to find good information that you can immediately apply.

Whatever your experience may be, please do not think making your own solar power generator is difficult. The fact is solar energy panels can be built using pre-fabricated photovoltaic parts. You do not have to worry about how it all works…just that it works…in order to complete a project. In order to join solar cells into arrays, you’ll require important skills such as soldering and tabbing. Yet this is about all you need. Even a novice can pick up these skills within ten minutes…I’m sure you can do better.

Many households are turning to solar power to supplement their energy needs. This is partly due to government policy. In our country, many states offer incentives and tax breaks that encourage homeowners to harness free energy from the sun. Just some years back, using solar energy is considered space age. Now, having solar power generators is as common in some states as owning a pet dog.

The downside of using solar energy is the high cost to install photovoltaic panels on your property. This prevents many people from owning a solar generator. Even if they do, it often takes more than a decade to recover the installation and maintenance costs.

Thankfully, a group of fanatic environmentalists who are also experts in building solar energy panels have changed the game. They have increased our options such that the man in the street now has the knowledge and technology to build his own panels.

These experts revealed to the public insider secrets and tips on how to build a solar energy generator at your own backyard. Using simple tools and easily available materials, you too can learn how to harvest solar energy to reduce your energy bills. Most of these materials cost less than $50. If you ever think it’s expensive, wait till you make those expensive mistakes that cost me thousands when I just started building homemade solar energy panels!

John Greenspan is an expert in DIY solar panels and has build several solar power generators in his spare time. Are you interested in building DIY Solar panels?

A residential solar panel is a solar panel, which is built with the sole purpose of generating solar energy for powering home electrical appliances.

You generating the ideas of making one for your home are great because it will cut cost of your monthly expenditure thereby saving much money for other family purposes. In addition, you will save our environment from further destruction. Nevertheless, the vital question seeking for an urgent answer is how can one build a cheap residential solar panel?

Contrary to ancient idea that generating solar energy is very expensive, with adequate guide from experience builders and installers of panel, making one at an affordable price is achievable.

The building of one starts from knowing the component required, how to acquire them at a cheap price and how to install them.

The component required to build one are solar panels, charge controller, meter box, inverter and batteries. Above all, you must make sure that you are the property owner because built one is not easily transferable.

Having known the components, getting them at cheap rate should be your next target and that you can do by making a thorough online research to find the sellers of the component, and collect various quotes from the sellers so that you can settle for the cheaper one. The best place to do that is to go to Alibaba. Com

In addition, since building a cheap one is your goal, then you should settle for self-built method, which means that you should do the assembling of the components and installing. You need to buy a detailed manual on how to generate solar energy using solar panel for a guide on how to assemble it. Such guide must be written with pictorial examples.

In summary, with right directive from experience builder and installer you can make cheap residential solar panels with a less than $200, such manual is not far fetched as long as you have followed this article to this point.

Dave I Mark is a popular self home made solar panels and solar energy guide reviewer. Dave’s most popular and recommended guide is at http://www.discountsolarpanels.biz which teaches how to make one with less than $200 with practical and pictorial examples.

Do you know that DIY solar panels can be built with very little cost and with relatively little effort? I can also assure you the whole process will be very rewarding. For more than 2 decades, you can reap the rewards of your labor in reduced energy bills. You may even chose to eliminate it altogether.

With the government pushing for more homeowners to use renewable energy, you can benefit from the decisions they made. Incentives and tax-breaks are a few of those perks you’ll receive when you make use of solar power for your home. As if it’s not enough, your property will almost always appreciate when you setup solar panels on your property.

Today, many homeowners seriously contemplate the use of solar energy for their home. Other than lack of knowledge, the other major factor that holds them back is the high cost of solar energy panels. A medium-sized house has to drop at least $25,000 to $30,000 for a complete solar power generator installation on their roof. This price range is generally out of reach to the average family. Even if a family can afford this price tag, their return on investment will be lesser and they will take longer to see their returns as compared to DIY panels.

In the past, there was no way you can build a photovoltaic panel in your backyard. And the only guys who were doing these things were the mad scientists. With DIY instructional guides coming on the scene recently, many folks can use it to fulfill their dream of living off-grid. Since their energy needs are fully satisfied by solar power, they will save a big chunk of their income that will otherwise go to their local power company. And electricity bills can really make your wallet leaner at times. So these folks are actually saving a huge amount of money each month.

Thankfully more and more people are starting to look at buying solar panel systems. This is such a wonderful thing. I am one of these kind of people. How could you not be, in this day and age? The sun is a constant, natural source of energy. It doesn’t belong to the electric company. And there really is no reason to think you can’t afford it.

Ok…..maybe I should rephrase that. If you are going to buy pre-manufactured panels, then it can be really expensive. However if you are going to build your very own solar panel systems, then that’s a different story. That’s what I was trying to do, and it wasn’t until I realized that I could do it myself, that I finally got off my butt and got started.

Buying manufactured solar panel systems can cost you tens of thousands of dollars. I don’t know about you but I can’t afford that. If you can, then you definitely should. But when I can build one solar panel for a few hundred bucks, why would I pay for the pre-manufactured panels??

So unless you have thousands of dollars just sitting in your bank account, not doing anything, it’s time to get your tool belt and do it yourself.

The great thing about it also is that it’s so much faster to get your money back from the electricity that you are saving every month. After each monthly bill that you get from your electric company starts to get lower and lower, you’ll realize how great of an investment it truly is.

If you want to create your own solar panel systems, the good news there are a lot of books that can tell you how to do so. However, the BAD news is that most of these books are worthless.

I speak from experience on this, as it took me a very long time to find a quality book that wasn’t covered with useless filler, and gave you a no-nonsense step by step method of creating your own solar panel systems.

It took me a while to find the right book to help me build my very own solar panels. Now, I have lowered my electricity bills by about 50%. You can read about my story and what I used by checking out: Earth4Energy Review.

Interested in lower your electricity bill by 25%? Consider installing a Power-Saver. The Power-Saver is an energy saving device that decreases the amount of electricity your home waste due to the natural starting and stopping process of your appliances. This is known as the inductive load. Appliances in your home like, Air Conditioner, Furnace, Washer & Dryer, Refrigerator, Freezer, Dishwasher, Pool Pump, vacuum cleaner, blower, all have electric motors. When they start, they call for electricity from your utility company, but their starting load is more than their running load because of the starting process, so the utility company sends more power to “start” than is needed to “run” the appliance. This is much like the process of starting your car, it takes more electric power for your car to start than to run because of the starting of the engine.

The Power-Saver stops the inefficiency of the process by capturing the excess power, storing it, and sending it back into the circuit of your home through the circuit panel thereby reducing the amount of electricity your home uses from the utility company. Utility companies all uses Power-Savers on an Industrial scale, they are called Capacitors.

A more technical explanation

The Power-Saver is a capacitor, capacitors are very common energy saving devices with many applications. The technology was invented by NASA. Utility Companies use capacitors today, as do many Industrial Companies that have equipment with electrical motors. The Power-Saver works by increasing your Power Factor. Power Factor is a measure of how effectively your house (the circuit) is utilizing electricity compared to what is wasted. The perfect Power Factor rating is 1.0, the average home in the US has a Power Factor rating of.78. This means that 22% of your electricity is wasted. Where does it go? It goes back into the grid so your Utility company can sell it to someone else. This should answer another question for you, “why haven’t I heard about a Power-Saver before now?” The Power-Saver stores the wasted electricity and sends it back into the circuit of your home through your circuit panel. Since less electricity is wasted, your efficiency and thus Power Factor increases toward 1.0 saving you money by reducing your electricity consumption.

Industrial Capacitor goes residential. Reduce your electricity bill with the Power-Saver. http://www.energysaving-devices.com

If you are interested in helping improve the environment or looking to save some money on your electricity bill, you can do these by using alternative energy sources. More and more people are looking into alternatives for their own reasons and regardless of which energy alternative they choose they win.

The more popular choice has been using the sun to provide the energy to make electricity, heat the home or even cook food. The sun is free for all of us to use and it is a matter of harnessing its power for our use. Solar panels will collect the suns energy and convert it to electricity for our home. With the use of rechargeable batteries we can store this electricity for future use.

By using the heat of the sun we can warm our house in the winter. By facing our home south and using structural means, we can let the walls absorb the heat of its rays into our home. We can store some of this heat to be released at night for continued use.

How about a solar hot water system for your home or cabin. By installing a solar collector you can heat the water that passes through it for use when you need it; the water can be held in an insulated storage tank. You can have a solar water heater that uses a pump to circulate the water or have a passive system that has no moving parts.

Any of the above solar power systems can be built yourself, they are not difficult for someone with some mechanical skills. All you need is a good manual to follow and the parts are easy to find. You will feel good about doing something like this and saving on your energy bill and helping the environment at the same time.

1. Use Compact Fluorescent Lights – CFL bulbs may cost a few dollars more initially than incandescent bulbs but they pay for themselves in approximately six months. Moreover, they use nearly 75 percent less energy and last ten times longer.

2. Turn Down the Water Heater – If you have access to it, turn the water heater down to 120 degrees. There’s no need to have it any hotter and turning it down can reduce energy and help save on your utility bill.

3. Utilize the Sunshine – During the winter, keep shades and blinds open to allow the sunlight in and provide heat. Close them once the sun sets to help retain the heat.

4. Install a Programmable Thermostat – If you don’t already have one, talk to your landlord about getting one installed. You’ll be able to automatically control the temperature at different times of the day to help reduce energy use.

5. Adjust the Thermostat – In a similar vein, keep your thermostat set around 68 degrees in the winter and 76 degrees in the summer. The changes in the temperature may not seem significant but just a few degrees can make a big difference on your utility bill.

6. Change Filters Regularly – Make sure your landlord is regularly inspecting and changing the filters on the furnace and air conditioning units or get permission to do so yourself. It’s an easy, inexpensive way to increase energy efficiency.

7. Install Low-Flow Faucets – Many manufacturers now offer low-flow faucet alternatives, such as Grohe faucets Water-Care line. They can significantly reduce the amount of water you use without sacrificing water pressure (meaning you likely won’t notice a difference).

8. Weatherize – Talk to your landlord about fixing leaky windows and doors, caulking leaks, and adding weather stripping.

9. Wash Clothes in Cold – It is significantly cheaper to run the washing machine on cold than it is hot since it doesn’t require the energy needed to heat the water. Plus, it can prevent fading and your clothes will last longer.

10. Select Energy-Star Rated – When purchasing new electronics or even appliances, look for those with the Energy-Star logo. This indicates they require less energy and will save you money long-term.
